Frequently asked
Do I have to collect payment through the app?
No. Whether payment is required in the app is a setting each teacher controls — some require it, others collect payment themselves and just use LessonLoop for scheduling.
What happens if a student cancels late?
Each teacher sets their own cancellation window. A cancellation inside that window forfeits payment per the teacher's policy; outside it, a refund happens automatically. Either way, a student's cancellation request goes to the teacher to approve before it's final — the teacher always has the last word on their own calendar.
Does rescheduling need my approval?
If you're the teacher, your own reschedule is instant. If a student requests one, it waits for your confirmation, same as a cancellation request.
How far ahead can a student book?
Each teacher sets their own booking window — two weeks by default, adjustable from their profile.
